Gemma Arterton won her first professional role (in Stephen Poliakoff’s Capturing Mary) while she was still at drama school. Similarly, she made her stage debut as Rosaline in Shakespeare’s Love’s Labour’s Lost at the Globe Theatre, London in July 2007 before graduating later that year. She made her film debut in the 2007 St Trinian’s movie St Trinian’s as Head Girl Kelly, a role she gained in competition with Sienna Miller.

In 2008 she appeared in the James Bond film, Quantum of Solace. Chosen from around 1500 candidates, Arterton plays Bond Girl “Strawberry Fields”, in what is described as a “nice-sized role”. In the film, she is assigned by M to send Bond back to London from Bolivia as he is a wanted man. She tries to over-power Bond and constantly keeps a watchful eye on him. Due to becoming dragged into the dangerous game of cat and mouse with villain Dominic Greene, she soon comes to a gloomy end.

She is the face of Avon’s Bond Girl 007 fragrance which launched in October 2008. Having already started in a series of low-key adverts for cosmetics company Avon, in May 2008 Arterton requested a role opposite model Kate Moss for Rimmel, but was blocked on contractual terms under her Avon contract.

In 2010 she made her West End debut in the UK premiere of The Little Dog Laughed. She was originally attached to star in a new adaptation of Wuthering Heights as Catherine Earnshaw, however, she later left the project. She is set to star in Burden of Desire.

She Better Own A Lexus!

Alexa Davalos struck out on her own at seventeen and headed to New York City. She supported herself by modeling for photographers like Peter Lindbergh. “I had a mission,” she recalls. “I wanted to be out in the world, doing my own thing. Working in a theater, I discovered that I really wanted to act.” Her passion soon grew towards acting, and she attended the Off Broadway Flea Theater in New York. In 2002, Davalos co-starred with Charlie Hofheimer in the short film The Ghost of F. Scott Fitzgerald, which screened at the 2002 Toronto Film Festival.^[5] In September 2003, Davalos was seen opposite Antonio Banderas in the HBO film And Starring Pancho Villa as Himself. Alexa Davalos made her feature film debut in 2004 starring in The Chronicles of Riddick as Kyra.

Davalos also appeared as the mutant Gwen Raiden in three episodes of the TV show Angel and in 2005 co-starred in the Fox show Reunion. In 2007, she was featured in the romantic drama Feast of Love, which starred Greg Kinnearand Morgan Freeman.

In 2008, Davalos co-starred as the love interest of Daniel Craig in the war film Defiance, directed by Edward Zwick. This week she brings the drama as Andromeda in the remake Clash of the Titans alongside Sam Worthington, Ralph Fiennes and Liam Neeson.

Izabella Miko grew up in Warsaw, where she studied to be a ballerina. An American choreographer invited her to study in New York City on a scholarship, and she traveled there with her mother on her 15th birthday.

Miko’s American film debut was in Coyote Ugly in 2000. In addition, she appeared in three episodes of HBO’s Golden Globe and Emmy Award-winning Deadwood, and in The Killers’ music video for Mr. Brightside. Miko supports green politics and keeps a video blog to talk about her current concerns. This week, Miko will appear in the big-budget remake Clash of the Titans as Athena, and all sorts of badassery will ensue.
