Here’s a film that caught alotta crud a few years back because it didn’t live up to fanboy expectations… whatever the heck THAT means. But, if you dig on Harleys and the likes of Sam Elliott and Nick Cage taking names and kicking ass, we’re not sure why you’d have any reason to piss and moan. Speaking of, looks like this new Ghostrider sequel introduces a new weapon for the hotheaded numbskull to unleash on the unholy… pissing fire. Kinda makes those Calvin stickers obsolete now, don’t it? Couple that with a road trip to Europe to kick some sissy vampire ass and call us hooked. Only thing missing is Eva Mendes, that girl’s hotter than Hades.

With Halloween arriving this Sunday, we began to wonder why it’s taken this long to give werewolves some props. Thanks to the likes of The Vampire LeStat and Twilight series, Vampires have pretty much been running the show for decades. Here’s some insight into why they might be the lesser of the classic horror antagonists.

Happy Halloween boys and girls, in this instance the trick IS the treat! One of our first cartoon crushes was the voluptuous Vampirella. With that skimpy, blood red costume covering the essentials perfectly and coupled with an unquenchable thirst for blood, Vampi was the ultimate bad girl gone good… and, nice boys wanted her baaad, broham. Fittingly she debuted in 1969 under Warren Publishing, and since there were several iterations, we thought we’d start with her first 15 years in the biz.

Meet Tits McGee, shown here in glorious Jank-O-Vision! Rob Liefeld, notorious for putting woman breasts on Captain America, manages to put them where they belong this time. Mostly. I mean, they’re in a comic, and not on stage. What can we say? Zenescope does two things right every single week: the left one and the right one.

The rivalry between Betty and Veronica is one of the longest-running in the world of comics. They’re friends, of course, but their love for Archie keeps them scheming against each other. No, they’ll never put it aside, and no, what you’re thinking wouldn’t work. Archie’s been trying that for sixty years, man. Oh, it’s never in the comics, but you know he’s tried. Amazing Spider-man Vol.2 #640 Women of Marvel Variant Cover

Peter Parker’s current situation is confusing. He was married to Mary Jane, seen here on the left. Then, Peter sold his marriage to the devil in a deal to save the life of Aunt May, who is NOT the woman seen here on the right. Aunt May is old and ALWAYS almost dying as it is. No, Black Cat, the woman who we DO see here on the right, was not even part of the deal. Peter Parker is a horrible negotiator. His comics are awesome, though. Don’t worry. He’ll fall into a relationship with another impossibly hot woman before you can say “Mephisto.”

Fables #97

Rose Red has lived in the shadow of her sister Snow White for longer than your family has been in America. Her contrary and adversarial nature has led her to be an awful partner to Sinbad (Red’s husband of about five seconds), Prince Charming (whom Red boinked while he was married to Snow), and Bluebeard (whom she almost married until she faked her death to avoid it), amongst many others. Boy Blue pulled Red’s card on all that, though, and she’s been a little down ever since. Really down. “Not ever getting out of bed” down. And you would STILL hit on her, wouldn’t you? Yeah, you would.

In Bill Willingham’s “Fables” series, Cinderella is a secret agent willing to do anything, ANYTHING, to protect Fabletown, where hundreds of mythical people and creatures live in New York amongst the rest of us Mundys. This paperback collection of Cindy’s first solo series sees her kicking ass, selling shoes, and generally not giving guys like us the time of day. Unless, you know, you’re endangering Fabletown and the only way she can catch you legally is to seduce you, at which point you are so in there, and so screwed.

Soulfire Vol. 2 #7 (Aspen)
